Interested in joining us for a class? We got you, mama.

Here is everything you need to know.

What do I need to bring to class?

As long as your are wearing comfortable clothing that you can move freely in and trainers, you just need to bring a bottle of water and any essentials for your baby such as nappies. Everything you need for the class will already be here.

What facilities are at the class?

I have chosen a fab venue. Loads of buggy parking, baby changing, parking next door, and of course loads of toys, mats and bouncers for your little ones to chill out with. I've covered it all!

I don't have a child / my child won't be with me. Is this ok?

Not a problem, the class is a women only class, and this includes all women, all ages and abilities. All exercises have adaptations ranging from beginner /postnatal all the way up to expert.

I just had a baby, when can I join?

As soon as you have had your 6 week checkup and given the 'OK' to exercise by your GP. This is 12 weeks for post c-section.

Can I attend classes if I am pregnant?

Absolutely! We encourage expectant moms to continue to exercise throughout their pregnancies as long as everything has been approved by their midwife. I am qualified to lead pregnancy/postnatal fitness programs that uses safe exercise techniques. We can modify any exercise that poses a challenge as you progress through your pregnancy. I recommend you obtain your midwife's approval prior to beginning any exercise class. If pregnant, please speak with your midwife before your first day.

Is there a maximum age my child can be?

Nope. These classes are designed so you can have time for you even when you have babies and children in toe.  However, toys available are suitable for 0-5 years. If your child is older and wishes to bring their own things to keep entertained they are more than welcome.

My child doesn't like sitting for long periods, how will I get a good workout?

I also run a playgroup at Salvation Army, meaning I have a huge variety of toys to keep all children occupied. Children are welcome to join in along side or I'm always up for a cuddle. If they won't have a cuddle with me then we can adapt exercises to be cuddle friendly so you're still getting sweaty. Who needs hand weights when you have a child as resistance!

What if I need to feed my baby during class?

If you need to change, nurse or console your baby, please do so (remember, you are in good company). If you wish for privacy we have other rooms you are welcome to use.

What do I do if my baby gets fussy in class?

That's okay! Sometimes babies cry. You will be in a group full of mums with their kids - we've all been there and we all get it. You're always able to do what you need to do to take care of your little one. Kids will have good and bad days and we understand that. The little ones learn the new routine of "Mummy's hour" and also learn a few things during our workout too!

Can I workout with my baby in a carrier?

You can if you wish, but there are some large movements during these classes that baby might not find so cosy. However, I do provide play mats, bouncers and toys for the little ones. And if they are still fussing then I am always up for a cuddle. If they won't have a cuddle with me then we can adapt exercises to be cuddle friendly so you're still getting sweaty. Do I need to pre-book?

You do not need to pre-book, but there is an option to. Booking will guarantee your space but I do hold a few spaces for drop-in.

Do I need previous experience to come to class?

Nope, technique is taught throughout the class both as a group and individually so you know exactly what to do. You are welcome to join as a beginner or a pro or inbetween. All exercises will have basic, standard, advanced and personalised alternatives.
